I graduated from the University of Texas in 1974 and moved to east Texas in 1980. My wife and I started manufacturing a women's sportswear line called Alexander Campbell until we sold it in 1997. Shortly there after, we both decided on careers in real estate. I received my Texas and Colorado broker’s license respectively in January and November 2002.

In 2003 I started Lone Star Realty out of my home. By 2006, I built a new, 2000 sq. foot office out at Lake Fork. Then in 2007 opened another office in Winnsboro. My business and reputation have been built around three aspects: hard work, integrity and customer service. I have been a multi-million dollar producer for over 10 years. I have listed over $63,000,000 in real estate and have sold more than $55,000,000. I have been married for over 32 years to my wife, Barbara, and we have three beautiful children. My favorite dog is a Great Dane and when I have time I love to golf, fish and snow ski.

I've been with Lone Star Realty since 2003 and am a multi-million dollar producer specializing in residential real estate. With a degree in interior design, I fell in love with houses and the ways they become special homes a long time ago. There's nothing I enjoy more than helping someone find the place they'll call home for a long time.

I enjoy being involved in the community and am chairman of the Grand Saline Public Library board, chairman of the Grand Saline Museum board and vice president of the Grand Saline Salt Museum. I have been a member of a book discussion group for over 15 years and I love reading and traveling. I'm a photographer, a free-lance writer and I seem to be owned by two cats and a dog.

I enjoy working in the real estate business. It's been another new adventure for me. I was involved in our family farming and cattle business, had a restaurant and catering service for sixteen years, and am also a professional photographer. I've found that in any type of business, good service and commitment are the main things that make it successful.

I have been a volunteer for East Texas Heart Gallery, an organization that helped children get adopted, serving as a photographer and a board member. I have been asked to give talks about photography subjects to women's clubs and the TJC photo club. My pictures have been published in Texas Highways, Farm & Ranch Living, Photographer's Market and Quarter Horse Journal newspaper. I had fun taking football pictures covering the Pittsburg Pirates for the Mount Pleasant Daily Tribune this fall.

I have four wonderful children and eight grandchildren. When representing a seller or buyer, I feel committed to doing my best in finding the right match for each client and helping them through the process.

Dana Christian King

Dana Christian King

My name is Dana Christian King. I am both a realtor and petroleum landman. I have been in the land development business since 2002. I began surveying in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and moved to Tyler to pursue a degree in Surveying and Mapping, while working as a surveyor for a local engineering firm. I was elected Surveying Class President and received a surveying scholarship from Bucher, Willis and Ratliff. After graduation I took a job as a landman buying and negotiating right of way, easements, mineral leases and property damages.

I received my real estate license in March of 2009. Since that time I have been diligently working with family, friends and clients to assist them with buying or selling their homes, farm & ranch properties, acreage, lots and commercial property. I am confident I will be a valuable asset to you in helping you find just the right property or getting your property sold.

I have lived in beautiful East Texas all of my life. I cannot think of another place in the world I would rather live. I think we are so blessed to be surrounded by beautiful country side, wonderful people and great churches.

I became a realtor in 1996 because I wanted to help other people find these same wonderful qualities that I grew up with. I have been a million dollar producer for almost 14 years. I specialize in all types of properties but I think my love is farm and ranch properties and rural acreage. I have been very involved with our local board where I served 3 years as a board director for the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors and as well as on the MLS Committee.

I am very devoted to my church where I currently serve as the clerk and Sunday School teacher. I also teach Sunday school. I have been married to my husband, Jerry Thornton, for 40 years. I have 3 sons and daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. I love spending time with my grandchildren, walking, reading and crocheting. My favorite activities are my church activities, going horseback riding (when I can), and spending time with my family.

Barbara F. Jarvis

Barbara F. Jarvis

Being a native Texan and sports enthusiast and life long fan of The University of Texas, I attended the University from 1973 through 1977 where I met my husband John. Moved to East Texas to own and operate a women's sportswear line, Alexander Campbell, Inc. until it was sold in 1997. After a small break, I became a real estate and insurance broker and own and operate GoTexasPlans.com and TexasHealthInsuranceServices.com. Due to the growth in real estate, I came back to help my husband in sales and organization at our Lake Fork Office. When I am not working, you can find me at the gym or watching college sports and cheering on my beloved Longhorns. After 32 years, we are still married and have three wonderful grown children.

I was born in the sun-flooded, sloping lands of South-Africa. After graduating from the University in Bloemfontein with B.A. Soc.Science, my husband, Phillip, and I owned a successful Real Estate company in Johannesburg.

In 1999, REMAX International sponsored us to come and practice Real Estate in Texas. Being one to embrace change, coupled with a drive to better and enrich my two children's budding lives, we traveled over the vast seas to our future, our new life, America.

We absolutely fell in love with the "Lone Star State"; its yawning plains stretching out to the horizon, and above all we fell in love with its wonderful people, their open and loving hearts, always giving a hand when one is in need.

Since I came to the United States, I was part of one of the top 10 Realtor Teams in the country. Being a Buyers Specialist I was evaluating up to 200 homes per week.

I have been in the REMAX 100% Club for over 10 years and received the Certified Residential Specialist designation.

Of all the designations and qualifications I acquired, I personally feel that being an 'Approved Staging Specialist' benefits my clients the most. It gives me such a thrill to help Sellers accentuate their homes assets, putting their property's best foot forward. Placing things carefully to create a natural flow throughout and breathing life into the terrace, both front and back. All while letting the sellers and buyers walk away fulfilled, with money still brimming full in their pockets and bank accounts, gives me the sweetest joy one could imagine.

Phillip and I bought and "flipped" several homes successfully. (There is just nothing my man and his tools cannot accomplish!)

Our truest motivation to move to the homely town of Winnsboro was for our children, Inge and Jet, granting them the opportunity of the superior school systems while allowing them to live freely and think deeply in the still country side. God's hands led us here, drew us into the soft landscape and the smiling faces for a greater purpose, which we have an abundance of gratitude for.

I hope you would tap into and take advantage of the experience I have gained in my years with this industry. Let me give your Real Estate transaction another happy ending, and you a new beginning.
