Being a native Texan and sports enthusiast and life-long fan of The University of Texas, I attended the University from 1973 through 1977 where I met my husband John. We moved to East Texas to own and operate a women's sportswear line called Alexander Campbell, Inc. until it was sold in 1997. After a small break, I decided to get my real estate license in 1999. Our real estate business began to grow and by the spring of 2010 we opened our third office in Mineola, Texas which is the office I operate out of. I have been a multi-million-dollar producer ever since. I love selling in the Mineola area but have listed and sold in over 6 counties and listed and sold as far away as Forney, Texas. My husband and I both love to sell waterfront properties. We sat down one day and figured out we have sold waterfront properties on over 24 area lakes. When I am not working real estate, you can usually find me at the gym or watching college sports and cheering on my beloved Longhorns. After almost 43 years, we are still married and have three, wonderful children. All of our children are married and successful with their careers. We now have three grandchildren, an absolutely adorable little boy and two precious granddaughters. My husband and I both love real estate. We love to help people. Call me and let me help you.
I received my Texas real estate license in September 2005 while living in the Lake Fork area of east Texas. The Lake Fork area is a rural area but the lake is known for its trophy, large mouth bass. While there, I listed and sold a variety of homes from log cabins to beautiful, luxurious waterfront homes. After meeting my husband, my life's journey took me to Colorado where I received my real estate license there in 2011. In 2014, we decided to move back to my home state of Texas.
I have always had a passion for real estate and absolutely love helping people find that perfect place they will make their memories and call home! I am a wife, mother and grandmother with 6 grandchildren. When I have spare time, I enjoy decorating, wake-boarding, hiking, fishing, AVing, dining with family and friends or going to the beach.
As a seasoned agent, I bring experience, expertise, and integrity to give you top notch service. For over 44 years I have been selling Texas to Texans (and Newbies, too).
Negotiating an offer is an important aspect of the buying process, just as marketing is for the selling process. Having worked in markets large and small across Texas, living in Central Texas Hill Country for 30 years, I dealt mainly with large ranches, and luxury homes, which I love. I also love finding just the right fit for every client. I enjoy and thoroughly love looking at homes and helping buyers envision their dreams. Entering the market in the 70s and riding out the booms and busts has given me real estate insight, perspective and knowledge that can't be learned in books.
I love East Texas! And you will too. If you like friendly, you will like it here. Award winning lakes, antiquers paradise, small town festivals, and nature trails.
If you want an agent who can get you the deal you are after, I'm your gal! I look forward to meeting you and helping make YOUR dreams come true! I say," Show me your dream check list and I will come as close as I can to making it a reality."
Having grown up in The Texas Hill Country, my love for the land, nature, agriculture and all they have to offer runs deep. My siblings and I grew up around livestock, learned to swim in the Guadalupe, rode our ponies bareback and mended our fair share of fences. Our family (Merritt) spans 6 generations back to the area of Hunt, TX and the original homestead ranch is one of the many homes that shaped who I am today.
When we got older, our parents bought, restored and passed along old Victorian homes, so I love the character found in older homes and the stories that come along with them. We moved over 18 times while restoring, until I went to Baylor University. Then, I moved again, to Texas A&M University to study Agronomy and Spanish. My husband and I met in Aggieland and relocated to DFW where he started work as a Dallas Firefighter and where I obtained my real estate license. We now reside in East Texas where my husband grew up and love it. We love raising our young daughters here, love our little 'urban' homestead and enjoy all of the outdoor activities this area has to offer.
I guess you could say real estate is in my blood (my Mother, Nicole, also works for Lone Star Realty). Whether you’re looking for acreage with possible fences to mend, craftsmen detail in an old Victorian or a new build, I look forward to helping you find your next home to create your stories in.
